Bathroom Renovations FAQs in Parkdale

What carpentry is included in bathroom renovations?

Athans Building Services can handle carpentry such as removing and replacing fixtures, building shower or bath surrounds, fitting vanities, storage, doors and timber trims, and finishing skirtings and architraves. The work can also include repairing or replacing damaged wall and floor framing, helping create a practical, well-finished bathroom.

Can the bathroom layout be changed in Parkdale?

A bathroom layout can be changed, depending on the home and the work involved. Athans Building Services can carry out the carpentry needed to reshape the space, prepare openings for plumbing and electrical work, and coordinate details with waterproofing and tiling. Each project in Parkdale is considered according to the existing room and planned changes.

How are walls prepared for moisture exposure?

Athans Building Services can install moisture-resistant substrates as part of bathroom renovation carpentry. These provide a suitable base for the next stages of the project, including waterproofing and tiling. The preparation is planned around the bathroom design and coordinated with the related work, helping the finished space suit everyday use.

Do you coordinate carpentry with other trades?

Bathroom carpentry often needs to align with plumbing, electrical, waterproofing and tiling work. Athans Building Services can prepare openings for plumbing and electrical requirements and coordinate carpentry details with waterproofing and tiling. This helps the different parts of the renovation fit together as the bathroom takes shape.

What happens if hidden framing is damaged?

If damaged wall or floor framing is found during the renovation, Athans Building Services can repair or replace the affected timber as part of the carpentry work. The appropriate approach depends on what is uncovered and the condition of the surrounding structure, so the required work can be considered before the renovation proceeds.

How can a renovation improve bathroom storage?

A bathroom renovation can make better use of available space with fitted vanities and storage. Athans Building Services can include cabinetry and storage in the carpentry work, taking the room layout into account. For Parkdale homes, the design can be planned around the bathroom’s dimensions and the way the space needs to function.
